وصية أب لابنته
وقال أبو الأسود الدؤلي لابنته:
إياك والغيرة فإنها مفتاح الطلاق، وعليك بالزينة، وأزين الزينة الكحل، وعليك بالطيب، وأطيب الطيب إسباغ الوضوء
*A Father’s Advice to his Daughter.*
Abu Aswad ad-Du’ali [may Allāh have mercy on him] advised his daughter saying:
“Beware of jealousy for it is the key to divorce, be keen to adorn yourself; the best of adornment is applying eye make-up _[kohl]_. Upon you is to make yourself smell good [for your husband] and the best means to smell good is to continuously perform _wudu_.”
