Fasting reminder for Youmul Arafat

Salam,

"Fasting reminder for
Youmul Arafat!"

Tomorrow In Shaa Allah is Monday, 9th Zhul Haj 1442AH equivalent to 19th July 2021CE is the Youmul Arafat, which is undoubtedly the best day of the year.

For those that are opportuned to be performing Hajj, The Prophet (PBUH) said In fact ‘Hajj is Arafah' (Abu Dawud).

Therefore, Arafat is a Pillar of Hajj and fasting on Youmul Arafat for those performing Hajj is forbidden but for those not performing Hajj including the residents of Makkah are encouraged to fast on Youmul Arafat. It is a recommended sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) for those who are not pilgrims to fast on this day since the Prophet (PBUH) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah and he said: "It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Muslim).

The Prophet (pbuh) also said:

"There is no day on which Allah frees people from the Hell Fire more so than on the day of 'Arafah (Muslim).

It is also a day that prayers are answered by Almighty Allah SWT.

Lets endeavour to fast on Youmul Arafat for those of us not performing Hajj.

Let us also pray sincerely for our dear nation, Nigeria that is under siege from the activities of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, armed robbers, vandals, anarchists, separatists, all kind of criminals and all those that don’t mean well for Muslim Ummah in particular and Nigeria in general.
