Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr bin Al' As RA:
I heard Allah's Messenger PBUH saying, "Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray."
Abdullah bin Amru bin Al-As ya ruwaito: Na ji Manzon Allah SAW yana cewa; Allah ba ya Ιauke ilimi, ta hanyar Ιauke shi daga (zukatan) mutane, amma Yana Ιauke shi ne ta hanyar mutuwar malamai, lokacin da babu sauran (malamai), mutane za su riΖa Ιora shugabancinsu a kan mutane jahilai, waΙanda idan aka tambaye su za su ba a amsa (ko hukunci) ba tare da ilimi ba. Sai su Ιace kuma su Ιatar da mutane.
