Ibn Al-Qayyim reported: Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Verily, good deeds will brighten the face, enlighten the heart, expand provision, strengthen the body, and cause love in the hearts of the creation. Verily, evil deeds will blacken the face, darken the grave and the heart, weaken the body, restrict provision, and cause hatred in the hearts of the creation.”
