OFFERING SALUTATIONS ON THE BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W

OFFERING SALUTATIONS [Salawaat] ON OUR BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam), IT'S MERIT and EXCELLENCE

 Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

Let's continue from the first reminder. Please request for a copy if you couldn't receive it.
Aayah 56 of Surah Ahzaab says:
“Indeed ALLAH and HIS angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, you should ask and send blessings and peace on him.”

Allah’s showering blessings on HIS Messenger means that HE, ALLAH is very kind to HIS Prophet. HE praises him, blesses his work, exalts his name, and showers HIS mercies on him. Blessings of the angels mean: Angels love the Prophet most dearly and pray to ALLAH to bless him with the highest ranks in Paradise, cause his religion and Shari’ah to flourish and exalt him to the laudable position. In our invocation we mean: “Yaa ALLAH (SWT), the Lord of the worlds: just as your Prophet has done us countless and endless favors, so do You also show him endless and limitless mercy; raise him to the highest ranks in this world and bless him with the greatest nearness to Yourself in the Hereafter.” please note that the Prophet doesn't need this from us as a favour but he is doing us a favour to earn the rewards of ALLAH and HIS Angels praises on him that's why it is recommended after praising ALLAH to praise the Prophet the sunnah way (Salaat Alan Nabi).

Abu Muhammad Ka’b bin Ujrah (RA) said that the companions submitted to the Prophet (SallallahuAlaihe Wasallam): “Yaa Rasuul ALLAH, we already knew how to greet you (i.e., saying Assalaamu Alaikum), but how should we invoke blessings upon you?”

In his reply The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) asked them to recite salawaat as follows; Allah humma salli alaa muhammad wa-alaa aali muhammad kamaa sallaita alaa Ibraaheem wa alaa aali Ibraheem inna ka hameedum majeed. Allah hummabarik ala muhammad wa ala aali muhammad kamaa baarakta alaa Ibraaheem wa alaa aali Ibraheem inna ka hameedum majeed.
Meaning "O Allah, let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and his family. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious"[Bukhari and Muslim]. There are other narrated forms that are all permissible in case you come across them but the above is the best to recite regularly seeking your share of blessings from ALLAH.

*_We ask ALLAH to reward our little efforts and heal our hearts from any sorrows and grant us our wish_*. Aameen.
