*Will They Remain Upon Islam?*

Brothers and sisters in Islam, I want you to think about this seriously.

Think about those under you, from your children, nephews, and nieces.

Think about your parents who do not know much about the deen.

Think about your entire family and ask yourself:

If you were to die today, would they remain upon Islam?

Have you taught them enough to keep them firm upon the deen if you were no more?

If your non-Muslim relatives were to take custody of them or take charge of their affairs and they asked them to make a choice, would they make the right one?

Have you armed them with sufficient knowledge to make the right call even if you weren't there?

Allaah (ﷻ) says:

*أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ ٱلْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِى قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ إِلَٰهَكَ وَإِلَٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَٰقَ إِلَٰهًا وَٰحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ*

*Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya'qub (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We shall worship your Ilah (God - Allah), the Ilah (God) of your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), One Ilah (God), and to Him we submit (in Islam)."*

(Al Baqarah, 2:133)

We may be busy with our worldly affairs, chasing degrees and trying to provide sustenance for our families, but let's not forget what is most important.

Always try to spend time with your family, quality time where you teach them the deen.

May Allaah grant us steadfast upon the deen and grant our families steadfastness upon the deen. And may we not turn back on our heels after Allaah (ﷻ) has guided us.

*آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ*
