NIKAH

Nikah is a great gift from Allah (SWT). Undoubtedly, there are many pearls of wisdom and benefits in marriage. It saves one from sins, removes evil thoughts and protects from being astray. In Islam, Nikah is a legal Islamic contract between the couple. Both the groom and the bride are to consent to the marriage of their own free wills.

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married.” (Al-Bukhari 5065)

The desire of having a good wife or good husband is a good and correct desire, so the procedure of choosing the spouses should be correct.

Nikah overcomes poverty:
Those who engage in Nikah Allah (SWT) promised them that He will provide and open ways and means for them. Allah (SWT) said:

“And marry those among you who are single (Al-Ayama) and the pious of your servants and maidservants. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His bounty. And Allah is All-Sufficient, All-Knowing.” (An-Nur 24:32)

Those who engage in Nikah for the purpose of chastity Allah will help them out in their daily obstacles. Chastity is a remarkable characteristic of Islamic society and marriage is a vital and powerful source to maintain a pious and pure society. The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“There are three who are all entitled to Allah’s help: the one who fights in the cause of Allah; the Mukatab who wants to pay (the price of his freedom); and the one who gets married seeking chastity.” (Ibn Majah 2518).
