Friendship between the People of Today is Bound by Kufr, Shirk and Sin:

Allah subhanahu wa Ta’ala states:
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ
“And those who disbelieve are Awliya (friends, protectors) one of another. If ye (Muslimin) do not so (be friends and protectors of each other), there will be Fitnah (trial) in the land, and great Fasaad (corruption).” [al-Anfal 8/73]

Some of the virtuous Ulamaa (Alim; scholars) said: “The Fitnah in the land (that which referred in the Ayah above) is Shirk and the great Fasaad (that which referred in the Ayah above) is free mixing of the Muslim with the disbelievers; the one who obeys (Allah subhanahu wa Ta’ala) and the disobedient.

“ When it occurred the system of Islam breaks up, the reality of Tawhid breaks away and comes out of it the evil which Allah subhanahu wa Ta’ala knows (its reality).

Islam will not be upright, Amri bi’l Ma’ruf wa’n Nahyi an’il Munkar (commanding the good and prohibiting from the evil) is not established and the flag of struggling for Islam is not elevated except with the love for Allah (subhanahu wa Ta’ala) and the hatred is for Him (subhanahu wa Ta’ala,) Friendship for His (subhanahu wa Ta’ala’s Awliya (friends) and enmity towards His (subhanahu wa Ta’ala’s) enemies.
