The system may result to two ballots at the fist instance, the successful candidate is required to obtain is absolute majority of the total votes cast that is 50 percent plus one) if this was not obtained , a second ballot or voting is required and those having unacceptable low result would be eliminated. The victorious candidate is then required to obtain a simple majority.
The alternative system
In this system, each voter is given the permission to indicate this choice of candidate in order of preference first, second and third. If there is no absolute majority in the election, the candidate who score least can be dropped and his vote distributed to other candidates according to the second preference of the voter. below is a hypothetical example.

Note:- vote for C are distributed between A and B as second prefer
Absolute majority system:- in one absolute majority system of voting, a candidate must score more than half of the votes can before he can be declared the winner.
Advantage of absolute majority system
1- it can reflection of the wishes of the people .
2- there is no room for unpopular candidate
3- it produce credible candidates
Disadvantage of absolute majority system
1- it is expensive and time consuming
2- it may lead to rigging of elections
