We are humans so we do commit sins and mistakes. But through a sincere repentance or true Tawbah Allaah can forgive us. One should be aware that before seeking forgiveness to Allaah that one should give up the sin completely and should not commit it again. He should feel remorseful. Tawbah is expressed in feelings from the heart, words on the lips and also through the individual’s actions. Allaah loves those who repents and it is because of His love for His creation that He tests them with sins so that he may shower His blessings upon them after thery repent. Now you must wonder how will you seek for forgiveness.
- Try to recollect all the sins that you have committed since adulthood.
- Count all the blessing that Allaah has showered upon us.
- Make a comparison between the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon you and the sins you have done in return.
- Now you will feel profound. You will not be able to resist your tears.
- Now make a sincere repentance. Perform ablution perfectly and pray two Raka’ah of sunnah and seek for forgiveness.
- Keep away from the things that makes you commit the sin that can be bad company and friends.
- Be close to Allaah. Pray Tahajjud. Ask for forgiveness and surely he shall forgive you after all he is merciful.

Don’t you think Allaah is so Merciful? Be grateful to Him. He is Ar-Rahman.
